The Sopot beach is very wide, very sandy and quite well managed by Polish standards, with fresh water showers, quite a long stretch covered by life-guards and dune-side little cafes offering refreshments and toilet facilities. Occasional giant trampoline, bouncy cushion or bouncy castle and an odd climbing frame or see-saw provide entertainment for children and more playfully inclined adults; while beach equipment from loungers and deckchairs to wicker beach-chairs (we called the baskets) can be hired near the Grand Hotel. On a recent work trip to Paris I went to see a variety of hotels - in fact I saw quite a few of the same hotel chains including the Mercure, Novotel and Sofitel and from the Sofitel chain this was one of them; Sofitel Le Faubourg.
The Hotel:
The Sofitel Le Faubourg is a luxury hotel in the heart of the city centre. A four star hotel that has a variety of room types and an elegant style it has a range of amenities to suit every type of holiday maker.

The Le Faubourg hotel has a brilliant location in terms of how of how central it is to the Champs Elysee and so not far from many of Paris' main sights and also in terms of the fact it is on a road that is not directly open to traffic unless specifically going to a building on the street.
