Sofitel Ia Ora Moorea Hotel, Moorea Island

Advantages: Great location, wonderful facilities, very friendly staff, the swimming pool is bliss
Disadvantages: smallish room, slow service

...When traveling to Fiji a couple of years ago, I spent 5 days at the Sofitel there; a wonderful experience! Transportation The hotel arranged a shuttle from the airport, where I was greeted by musicians. This welcome with relaxing music ertainly set the tone for the rest of the stay. The trip from Nadi airport to the hotel took nearly 30 minutes, giving me the opportunity to enjoy the view. The traffic at Fuji is a breath of fresh air after the chaos that is Dutch rush hour: there was room to spare on the excellent roads! On a side note, the shuttle can be used to make a tour; It comes across a number of 5-star hotels and gives you a quick impression of what the island has to offer. Advantages: Gorgeous rooms, nice facilities and great location

...On a recent work trip to Paris I went to see a variety of hotels - in fact I saw quite a few of the same hotel chains including the Mercure, Novotel and Sofitel and from the Sofitel chain this was one of them; Sofitel Le Faubourg. The Hotel: The Sofitel Le Faubourg is a luxury hotel in the heart of the city centre. A four star hotel that has a variety of room types and an elegant style it has a range of amenities to suit every type of holiday maker. Location: The Le Faubourg hotel has a brilliant location in terms of how of how central it is to the Champs Elysee and so not far from many of Paris' main sights and also in terms of the fact it is on a road that is not directly open to traffic unless specifically going to a building on the street. Advantages: It must be the most photogenic place on the island.
Disadvantages: Can be exspensive but you can visit for the day.

...If you are on holiday on the island of Santorini it is likely that you will be tempted to vist the town of Ia which is famous especially for it's sunsets. Picturesque white and blue houses are built into the rock that overlooks the Caldera; this is an expanse of water formed in the past by the island volcanic activity. Cruise ships sail into the Caldera to view the attractive town,and the colured rock formations (cliffs) that have been created by the erruptions of the volcano and also to allow their passengers to vist the town. Restaurants, hotels, houses and hoilday properties are situated (perched on the cliff face) to take advantage of the view of the sunset over the Caldera. Ia seems an exspensive place to stay for a holiday on Santorini but it is worth while taking a day trip there; it is a very photogenic place to visit. You... Read review
