Advantages: good location, comfortable, helpful staff Disadvantages: not as much to offer as other hotels
unlimited travel up the Strip so the Stratosphere location is not too bad. I did walk the whole strip once it does seem quick when your going into the hotels as the city is so lively anyway. The Stratosphere is considered downtown when getting a taxi from the airport though so will cost you about $16 for a return which is still not that bad. The hotel is near lots of souvenir shops and I suppose in a way it is good because not being right in the busiest part of the Strip you get a bit of peace at night.
As soon as you arrive you can see the tower from the airport as it sticks out high above the Strip. As soon as you get here the reception and casino hit you right away and you know you're in Vegas. The casino here is not the most impressive of the hotels but is very red themed and is always busy with its poker tables, slot machines, you name it ...
Advantages: good location, staff and desert! Disadvantages: NO swimming pool!!!
For me, Cairo is a must when going to Egypt, and we stayed in this hotel for a night when we went over there during our trip in the summer.
The Sheraton was in an ideal location in the centre of Downtown Cairo. Brilliant location. The rooms were quite big, but one thing we did have to do was change ours as the lighting in the bathroom was not good, and was loose. However, they were very accomodating.
Walk out of the hotel and the Nile is not far away. Fantastic at sunset to walk across one of the bridges and take in the atmosphere. The food places are not far away, we went for a McDonalds at 3am within 5 minutes walk.
The hotel itself is quite classy, and I especially took a lioking to the deserts tray at the restaurant downstairs. the food is average to good, but the staff are quite excellent. very friendly and accomodating ...
Advantages: Lovley room, great value room service, central location Disadvantages: Bath was to small, Price
So myself and my girlfriend went travelling around the world visiting 29 countries from July to December. We stayed in budget accommodation all around the world, some of it was good enough and the rest well thankfully we survived unscathed. However when we arrived in Sydney things changed. My girlfriends mum had treated us to a hotel break away in the Sofitel for four nights as our Christmas present
-------------------Our arrival--------------------
We arrived into Sydney from Bali, but arrived at the domestic terminal as we changed at Darwin in the early hours of the morning. We jumped in a taxi straight outside the airport. Taxis appeared to be plentiful which can be rare at airports sometimes. The taxi driver instantly offered us two routes to get to the hotel. These choices were simple the cheap slow option or the expensive ...
