Hanoi is the capital city of Vietnam and is situated in the North of the country.
We did a tour of Vietnam from North to south summer 2007 with a company I found on the internet. www.selectiveasia.com and I dealt with a man called Nick who was extremely helpful all along the decision making and booking process.
I organized my own flights to Bangkok then from Bangkok to Hanoi with an Asian airline again on the internet www.airasia.com but there may be others, it is worth searching around.
We arrived late in Hanoi and we met by our guide Thuy (pronounced two ee) who was a delightful young man about 24 years old. His parents were teachers and had lived through the Vietnam War, Thuy was too young to remember, he said. Are you seated comfortably? This is a long review of my stay at Blackpool?s Grand Metropole.
WHAT AND WHERE?
The Grand Metropole Hotel, Blackpool boasts that it is the only hotel in Blackpool located between the sea and Blackpool promenade which is certainly the truth. There are numerous bars, restaurants and nightspots within a few minutes walking distance of the hotel, some even less than a minute away.
BOOKING PROCESS/RECEPTION
We booked in for 3 nights in late June 2009. The booking process was easy enough by telephone and although I asked for a confirmation email to be sent and was advised they would do send one; no ...
Advantages: Gorgeous rooms, nice facilities and great location Disadvantages: Price may be too much for those on a budget
On a recent work trip to Paris I went to see a variety of hotels - in fact I saw quite a few of the same hotel chains including the Mercure, Novotel and Sofitel and from the Sofitel chain this was one of them; Sofitel Le Faubourg.
The Hotel:
The Sofitel Le Faubourg is a luxury hotel in the heart of the city centre. A four star hotel that has a variety of room types and an elegant style it has a range of amenities to suit every type of holiday maker.
Location:
The Le Faubourg hotel has a brilliant location in terms of how of how central it is to the Champs Elysee and so not far from many of Paris' main sights and also in terms of the fact it is on a road that is not directly open to traffic unless specifically going to a building on the street. The result is a very quiet location even on front facing rooms which is quite ...
