Advantages: Gorgeous rooms, nice facilities and great location Disadvantages: Price may be too much for those on a budget
On a recent work trip to Paris I went to see a variety of hotels - in fact I saw quite a few of the same hotel chains including the Mercure, Novotel and Sofitel and from the Sofitel chain this was one of them; Sofitel Le Faubourg.
The Hotel:
The Sofitel Le Faubourg is a luxury hotel in the heart of the city centre. A four star hotel that has a variety of room types and an elegant style it has a range of amenities to suit every type of holiday maker.
Location:
The Le Faubourg hotel has a brilliant location in terms of how of how central it is to the Champs Elysee and so not far from many of Paris' main sights and also in terms of the fact it is on a road that is not directly open to traffic unless specifically going to a building on the street. These choices were simple the cheap slow option or the expensive ...

The hotel is only about three years old and is immaculate inside, with an opulent lobby, including a very comfortable seating area at the entrance to the hotel. The check-in staff are efficient, very polite and courteous, and extremely helpful. The most common phrase to be heard as you wander through the lobby is often 'Bonjour' or 'Bonsoir' a nice touch!
The rooms:
The hotel rooms are quite spacious (not as large as some U.S. cities, but this is New ...
