Advantages: Location, Price, Staff Disadvantages: Not the height of luxury
I've been to this hotel countless times over the years, both with family and with my partner and would go back every time. The staff are great, the acommodation is great and the facilities are great. But the major selling point for me is the location - a stones throw away from the beach, a leisurely walk to the lively and picturesque Benalmadena Marina and a (sometimes slightly death-defying!) 15 minute journey from the airport.

Originally, my parents took me and my sister here about ten years ago and they booked it through a package company, but with the vast number of low-cost airlines now regularly flying in to Malaga airport, it now makes more sense to book it independently. This couldn't be easier - simply log on to the Sol Melia (the international hotel chain) website - www.solmelia.com - and see how easy it is ...
Advantages: everything about the place is an advantage. Disadvantages: the non smoking policy (for some)
With the exception of Tenerife I usually tend to holiday places only once, preferring to try new places rather than return to ones I have already visited. I have been to torremolinos twice now though and a large part of the reasoning behind that is this wonderful hotel (Sol Principe).
This hotel is situated alongside the beach of Playa mar approximately 2km outside the city of torremolinos. It is served by Malaga airport which is a little over 4 miles away and takes only a 15 minute transfer by coach to reach.
On approach to this hotel the first thing that caught my eye was the size of the grounds it stood in but it soon became apparent why. This hotel is actually part of a complex which includes as well as the hotel itself the Apartments Sol Principito, a fairly large private car park, a sports area, gardens, a supermarket ...
Advantages: Friendly service. Disadvantages: Flies only within the Hawaiian islands and some states.
Earlier in the year, I had the opportunity to visit the islands of Hawaii. There, I flew between Oahu and the Big Island on Aloha airlines.

As usual, we arrived early at the check-in counter of the Aloha airline section of the Honolulu airport. Check-in process was very efficient and within minutes, we had our boarding passes. It was only then that I found out that seats are not allocated but passengers choose their seats on boarding on a first-come first-served basis.
