We went on holiday to Majorca for 10 days in July and stayed at the Sol Trinidad hotel in Magaluf. We have been to Magaluf in the past and stayed at a Sol hotel which we really liked and so decided to give this one a go. We booked it off teletext and stayed half-board.
The hotel has 375 rooms spread over 9 floors, we had a pool view room on the forth floor which was quite handy as the two (very small!) lifts were out of action a few times and I was grateful for only having to climb four flights of stairs.
It is situated a 2 minute walk across the road to the beach, and the road along the front of the hotel has lots of shops (clothes, souvenirs, booze, fags etc) and the road behind mainly bars and BCM the major nightclub where Radio 1 were doing there live weekend while we were there. Advantages: Great entertainment, great location, great food. Disadvantages: Some people are never satisfied with what the staff do.
I have been going to the Sol Guadalupe for the past 5 years with my family. The reason we keep going back is just because it gets better and better every time we visit.
So for those of you who have not been to Majorca before why should you go ?.

time I decided to choose a resort town on the south of the island, allowing relatively easy access to the city of Palmade Mallorca.
I finally chose Palma Nova, a town I had visited with my husband over ten years ago when we had taken the bus from the city of Palma for a look around. We found it a pretty average looking resort at the time, with my husband complaining it was "too British", which is a fair assessment.
I eventually chose the Sol Mirlos Tordos hotel - I have stayed in several Melia hotels in Spain and one thing I can safely say about the Sol Melia group is that they know how to run hotels, so whilst a Melia was outwith my budget, I was happy to book a hotel from one of their cheaper brands.
