Son Bou We stayed at the Son Bou gardens for 2wks from 21.5.08. Transfer from the airport takes approx 25 mins. Son Bou Gardens stretches over several zones. The apartments are built into a hillside so there are small steps everywhere. Not much of a problem unless you use a wheelchair or have a pushchair but there's usually a grass slope both sides & the occasional ramp. Reception Is situated a few minutes walk from zone 3. The staff were friendly & helpful. The ones we spoke to had excellent English. You can hire a safety deposit box for 10? pw & 5? refundable deposit. The boxes are in reception & open from 9am to 10 pm & kept behind a locked screen at other times. If you have an early flight the next day, make sure you empty your box the night before! Benalmadena the Costa del Sol

Advantages: Friendly town with lots to do, a lovely holiday.
Disadvantages: If you steer clear of the 'English Bars' there are none

COSTA DEL SOL Benalmadea Costa, I'm afraid I was always a bit of a 'travel snob' regarding the Costa del Sol. I envisaged the types of scene in TV's Benadorm, a type of Blackpool with sun. As members of a vacation club ( it was then Sunterra now Diamon Resorts) we had the opportunity for a weeks break for relatively few points at the Sahara Sunset in Benalmadea Costa, as we could get Easy Jet airfairs to Malaga for a very low price we decided to try it. We have been three times more since then - so needless to say I was not disappointed. Benalmadena is only 15 kilometers from Malaga Airport, car hire is easily obtainable but it is only 25 euros for a taxi from the airport and there are plenty of excursions and good public transport available in the resort. Review of Costa del Sol (Spain)

Great holiday at the Sol Trinidad

Advantages: Location, location, location
Disadvantages: Noisy for some guests

We went on holiday to Majorca for 10 days in July and stayed at the Sol Trinidad hotel in Magaluf. We have been to Magaluf in the past and stayed at a Sol hotel which we really liked and so decided to give this one a go. We booked it off teletext and stayed half-board. The hotel has 375 rooms spread over 9 floors, we had a pool view room on the forth floor which was quite handy as the two (very small!) lifts were out of action a few times and I was grateful for only having to climb four flights of stairs. It is situated a 2 minute walk across the road to the beach, and the road along the front of the hotel has lots of shops (clothes, souvenirs, booze, fags etc) and the road behind mainly bars and BCM the major nightclub where Radio 1 were doing there live weekend while we were there.
