My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel in March on a last minute deal costing us over £800 for half board basis. We are a young couple aged 18 and 19 and found the hotel to be very uninviting towards us. We know how to behave and are responsible young adults but the people at this hotel ... Read review

We found that the staff gave us one of the smallest rooms in the whole hotel - maybe because of our age - but when we were paying a large amount of money for a poor room, I was not impressed.

We are a young couple aged 18 and 19 and found the hotel to be very uninviting towards us. We know how to behave and are responsible young adults but the people at this hotel failed to give us a chance to prove this. Visiting in March, the main customers at this time are older, but we were just looking forward to being out of England for a week and in better company in Spain. We found that the staff gave us one of the smallest rooms in the whole hotel - maybe because of our age - but when we were paying a large amount of money for a poor room, I was not impressed. The only good thing about the hotel was the choice of food, being hungry young people we fully made use of the buffet style meal times. However, there were numerous occasions when were were queuing out into reception to even be able to enter the restaurant. We opted to eat out a couple of times to avoid the hassle and at the very low prices found in Benidorm, wished we had gone self catering. We tried to find our holiday Rep to complain but we never saw one around! Overall, I was not impressed by this hotel and having been on holiday in many countries together, staying in a range of hotels, this one ranks the lowest. Not worth the money we spent.
Advantages: Beautiful pool areas, dining, service, general look of the hotel. LUXURY. Disadvantages: The area is somwhat loud and it's a little too expensive.
The sol pelicanos is wonderful. Perfect for families as there is lots to do. The pool area is stunning, it features many pools and a bar. The pool area ia always busy but it's definately the hotel's strong point. There is also a pool especially for the kids. The staff are friendly and english speaking and the hotel in general is beautiful and luxurious. The food is also very nice and Sol Pelicanos provides wonderful gourmet buffets. Entertainment ... ...Pelicanos it is quite expensive.
However, it is one of the most luxurious hotels in the Levante beach area of Benidorm. It is situated in a fairly busy and loud area, but most of Benidorm is like that. MY advice is to not go to Benidorm if you are looking for culture, it's more for Brits looking for sun sea and sand. It's about 500M from the beach and a 40 minute bus ride to the amazing theme park Terra Mitica. In general, it's worth the money, ...
