Advantages: Refreshing break from 'hollywood' films Disadvantages: Predictable and uninteresting storyline
Where to start?
I was really excited about seeing this film, as I am a huge fan of Mark Ruffalo - however, after watching, I was left thinking, why did I bother?
Maybe that's a bit harsh - it wasn't AWFUL - but it was far from great.
(N.B> This is a review of the film, rather than the DVD and it's additional content. The dvd was rented and there was no intention to search for bonus features etc.)
What is XX/XY about?
The film starts off in the early 90s, following 3 college students who lead a life of the 'average' student...sex, drink, drugs etc. Coles (Ruffalo), Sam (Maya Stange) and Thea (Kathleen Robertson) find themselves drawn into a love triangle, threesome a-go-go. I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights.
LOCATION:
The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal.
PRICE:

Hugo XX for women is part of the first his and her fragrances from Hugo. There are described as two individual, contrasting fragrances that when worn together with Hugo XY for men is meant to be a provocative and perfect match.
I can only speak for the fragrance that I have tried which is Hugo XX for women. It has a light woody, floral bouquet and leaves you smelling lovely without being in anyone's face and fits any occasion whether daytime or evening.
It is quite pricey with a starting price of around £26 for a 40 ml flacon but it is worth it. A few sprays on your wrists and neckline and it will last all day just like a quality fragrance should do.
The flacon's design is quite eye catching with a simplistic yet sophisticated glass bottle. The colour of the fragrance makes it look like liquid gold and the letters ...
