Bay of plenty

Advantages: South Westerly shape
Disadvantages: North easterly mush

...beyond the backline in big surf conditions. Summer has the dreaded North Easterly or beastly eastly as it is affectionatly known. this brings choppy surf and the dreaded 'blue bottles' or portugese man. Definately recomend this break to any surfer who wants to experience South africa and when you get it good. Not that infrequent. It can be an absolutely memorable spot. Advantages: Good shape and size
Disadvantages: Sharks and breaking on reef
