The Palms Retreat and Restaurant, Wilderness

Advantages: Great food, beautiful decor, friendly staff
Disadvantages: Absolutley nothing!

My husband and I spent two nights in The Palms in Wilderness in February and we can say without hesitation that this truly is a gem in the Garden Route. Relaxation in Beautiful surroundings

Advantages: Babysitting available, Afternoon Tea

We stayed here in September 2006 for a weekend on our way to the Kwa Zulu Natal South Coast, and loved every minute. Firstly it is a bit of a drive through villages, dodging cows and chickens, but once you are there it is pure paradise. This was ideal so that we could have some privacy, but still be close enough to hear the baby. Advantages: Plenty of Rands to the Pound

Worthwhile diversion from the Garden Route

Advantages: Restful, relaxing, intimate atmosphere
