Brisbanes South Bank Parklands.
Advantages City centre (although you'll think youre on a tropical island!).
Disadvantages Can be VERY busy on school holidays.

A must for visitors to Brisbane !.
The beautiful South Bank Parklands can be a full day out on its own.
The amazing man made swimming oasis (a massive main pool and a smaller one just for kids) complete with its own beach (and life guards) sits almost smack in the middle of the city and overlooks the busy river.Behind you are a great selection of gift shops / bars / cafe's and in front are the 'City Cats' (an affordable catamaran service which takes you all over the city and is especially dramatic during the evenings when Brisbanes night lights dazzle!).
A large outdoor amphitheatre / Brisbanes Arena building where major international acts regularily appear / fountains / and twice weekly street markets are just a few of the reasons to visit.
The juice bar has the best 'smoothies' on the planet, and great value is the restaraunt situated behind 'the hunky' life guards where enormous 'sangers' can keep you going all day !(and you can even bring your own food and use the complimentary BBQs provided!).
Its also easy to get to with the excellent local bus and rail services, so leave the car behind and treat yourselves.
