South Caicos Ocean Haven, Cockburn Town

...a drive along the coast. You can take a drive along the infamous Chapmans Peak, a windy road with a sheer cliff drop into the ocean (the view is worth dying for). Head out to some of the smaller towns such as Hout Bay, Simons Town and Kalk Bay, which all are incredibly beautiful, and fun to explore. Maybe make a trip down to Cape Point, where you can be the most South Africa person in the world! (it is the most southerly point of Africa). Maybe head up to Boulders Beach, where you swim with the penguins. If penguins are not your thing, and you were getting excited when I spoke of the topless bus, why not head out to Clifton Beach. ...I first went to this museum with my sister when I was about 8 or 9 years old. When looking for something to do on Monday, I asked my friend, Emma, if she wanted to go here with me since I haven’t been for ages. My older sister, Joanne, lives in South Shields so we met her and my niece (23 months) at the museum on Monday morning. I got slightly lost getting to South Shields as I took the wrong turn at a roundabout, but as it was my furthest venture in my car on my own (about 25 miles) I was still quite pleased I found it without too much hassle! Advantages: Cheap, friendly people, nice and warm weather, great snorkling

...of the “clerks” to let us out the back door. I guess the whole thing depends on your ability to live into this horror show. Rent a car: we rented a car for about 6 hours and we drove of to take a look at the island. We drove past Karon beach, Kata beach going south and then towards the east coast of the island. We drove to the Phuket aquarium and it was barely worth the 20 baht the we had to pay to get into see the few fish that were in there. We also managed to get a bit lost driving around in Phuket town but we managed to get on the right path again. We only had a tourist map but we managed pretty good just using that. We stopped by one of the national parks and we walked a few minute to get to a waterfall. Remember that they drive on the left hand side of the road in Thailand and that the cars have the steering wheel on the “wrong” side... Read review
