Very Good Value For Money Lloret De Mar
Advantages: Big pool,Good Drink, nice hotel, pleasant staff, excellent value for money Disadvantages: Awful Food
...was I had booked the hotel and flights seperate and didn't bother with transfers we just got a taxi from Girona airport to resort, this was easy enough to do but cost 50 euros each way. I found out when we got home I could have booked a transfer both ways for about £25 so could have saved quite a bit of money there.
The hotel itself is quite nice it has a big pool, a smoking bar and non-smoking bar, arcade, resturaunt, shop and the rooms were quite ... ...for your food as the hotel food is not good enough.
The hotel is well looked after and very clean we saw a young boy throw up in reception as we were waiting to check in and within seconds staff were cleaning it up and the rooms and public areas were very clean also. The room was cleaned daily and bed linen changed which isn't always the case in these cheap hotels.
The main bar was non-smoking which my wife and I found very nice as neither of us ...

dont go!
Advantages: central location Disadvantages: everything else!
Stayed at the Guitart Central Park for a short 4 day break on 29th Oct. When we arrived we werent given any indication of where anything was (its a huge place). We werent allowed to check in til 2:30pm so arriving at 10:30am in the rain was a real mistake. The indoor pool is NOT open so do not book this hotel if you want this facility. We booked especially for this and were sorely disappointed (especially as it rained every day). We stayed all inclusive, ... ...laughable - honestly 1 guy on a keyboard singing whilst the spanish guests line dance! no facilities included: they want you to pay 15euros per day to use the gym, tennis is extra, snacks are extra etc, ect. We stayed in the economy rooms which were what we expected basic but reasonably clean - absolutely fine although we could hear the neighbour snoring through the wafer thin walls. Lloret itself is lovely, but dont stay here. If you like shopping ...

Hotel Platja Park
Advantages: Large and clean Disadvantages: For the older generation
This was a lovely large and very clean hotel. The room I stayed in had 2 single beds, there was ample room to move around and also space for our golf clubs and baggage. The furnishings were minimul in the room with a dressing table, bedside tables,a chair and a mini bar. There were large built in cupboards for all our clothes. The bathroom was very clean, with a bath and a shower inside the bath.,there was a full length mirror and a hair dryer on the ... ...chairs and looked out onto the swimming pool area .The breakfast was a buffet style and was quite varied between fry ups, cold meat, fruit, cereal, rolls, toast, fruit juice etc. The staff didn't have a good grasp of English. The entertainment at night was an organist with people up slow dancing. It definately wasn't an hotel for people looking for lively nightlife. The pool was a generous size and it had an area for kids to swim. There was also a small ...

Hotel Tropical Club 18-30, San Antonio Ibiza
Advantages: large pool .. two bars .. clean rooms .. Disadvantages: poor food ..
Hotel Tropical is situated in the centre of san antonia, a 2 minute walk to the nightlife and about a 5 minute walk to the beach and local amenities.
The hotel offers 142 comfortable rooms which can sleep up to 3 people, however the rooms are not particuarly big. Half of the rooms have balconies over looking the front of the hotel and the pool and all have facilities such as tv, toilet, shower, fridge, safe (for a small charge) , fans and cleaning ... ...Across the road from the hotel is the hotels large pool with plenty of sunbathing space and free sunbeds. There is also a poolside bar which also serves food. This food is at a very reasonable price and much better than that served in the main restaurant. There is also a small gym, a pool table and a mini -golf course. Hotel Tropical offers some excellent facilities and is ideal for those 18-30's looking to have a great time in San Antonia. The rules ...

A Palatial Hotel fit for a Queen
Advantages: A wonderfully characteristic hotel Disadvantages: None
...very easy to find.
The Alcazar de la Reina Hotel is situated in the heart of the old town. It's not hard to find as it's more than adequately signposted, but it's still a bit of an ordeal driving to it. The old town was not designed with the automobile in mind (in fact I doubt whether the wheel was even invented when much of this place was built!) and you must negotiate a torturous and convoluted route through the incredibly narrow streets and lanes ... ...be quite hair-raising - I don't have much hair so I was alright.
When we eventually cleared the claustrophobic streets, we found ourselves at one of the highest points of the town with a car-park and small mirador at one side, and a magnificent, restored former palace at the other. Surely this impressive building couldn't be our hotel?
A quick double-take confirmed that indeed it was.
Although it dates from the 17th century, the building was totally ...
