Mrs Foote
Advantages: Reasonably close to the beach, clean and tidy Disadvantages: Food was a let down
...ALL INCLUSIVE PROGRAM.
Although the hotel also offers B&B H/B and F/B. We had a tea-time flight from Liverpool and landed in good time at Gerona, only thing was there was only 1 person checking the passports and we did not get to our hotel until nearly midnight so we had missed our AI for that night.
When we arrived we thought the Hotel Esplai looked nice and clean the reception area was tidy and well presented and you could also see the bar area ... ...town.
Evening entertainment at the hotel was very poor and badly set up,there was a disco on one night and they didnt even lower the lights also no-one was dancing. On the plus side they did a quiz on the last night to which we won a wonderful bright yellow t-shirt with the hotel name on and also received a certificate (we enjoyed that as we had never won a quiz before).
The staff on the whole where pleasent and as helpful as they could be and ...

Gala Hotel Experience.
Advantages: No groups of young singles. Within walking distance of all Bars and shops, but far enough away not to be disturbed by any noise. Disadvantages: If you don't like Germans then this is not the Hotel for you. Evening entertainment lacking.
The Hotel is very well presented. The Dining room however operates a policy of Gentlemen having to wear long trousers to enter, this seems very restrictive when you are holidaying with young children and you do not intend to pack formal clothing as you intentions are to enjoy a relaxed holiday with your children and do not see the need to dress for dinner. The choice of food was varied, but if you're not there at the start of Dining then you were ... ...room says it all). The Hotel only has 2 average ( I would say on the small side) pools. If you require sunbeds you have to get there early, although there are notices around the Hotel saying that sunbeds may not be reserved. This is not the case, we watched numerous German Holiday makers putting down towels and then not returning for several hours. You have to pay for the hire of a mattress, and you are then given pool towels. The evening entertainment ...

clean and friendly
Advantages: clean, friendly, beautiful views, plenty to do,good value for money, great food Disadvantages: being away from main resort but only about 1 mile
we had a very pleasant holiday two weeks halfboard, staff were friendly and helpful, food and drink very good ,sometimes had to wait to be served at bar after dinner though. Entertainment was good ,especially kids disco about 8.00pm every night. The animacion team were very good with varied activities throughout the day- prizes given out at night. You are not badgered into participating like some hotels.
Very quiet hotel with nice outlook. There ... ...About 1 mile walk to nearest good beach at playa limones where there is also a good but small selection of restaurants. Taxi fare from airport roughly 50 euros. Also about 7 euros to rubicon marina well worth a visit, market here wednesdays and saturdays- good bargains. Overall very happy with our stay will return. This was our 3rd stay here and if we had to say one thing that impressed us more than anything else it would have to be the excellent ...

A MODERN AND EXCELLENT HOTEL NEXT TO A ROMAN CITY
Advantages: Excellently equipped and good service, close to the city. Disadvantages: Lack of restaurant
...worth a visit.
APARTHOTEL CIUDAD DE LUGO
The hotel itself, I believe, is a modern hotel, established in 2004, and is situated approximately 50 yards outside the Roman wall. It is also situated approximately 5 minutes away from the nearby hospital and the university. The hotel has 39 outward facing rooms with combined sitting rooms, and kitchenette areas. The rooms, as do most hotel rooms these days, also have a television, telephone, internet ... ...The hotel has a cafeteria / snack bar, but no restaurant, although there are two restaurants nearby whereby the hotel has a special arrangement. ROOMS
The hotel itself has various sized rooms to accommodate different sized parties. The room that we had was not the largest, but did have a kitchenette and sitting room and a bathroom.
The kitchenette was very well equipped and spacious, with everything one could need for a sort stay. Items ...

2 STAR HOTEL THAT SHOULD BE FAR MORE
Advantages: Excellent value for money and extremely clean and tidy Disadvantages: Slightly to far to be able to walk to city centre
...ones that had vacancies, the hotel rooms were very expensive. Luckily, one of the hotels recommended the Hotel Santa Lucia on the outskirts of the city. At first, we thought it would not be good as we didn’t really want to stay on the outskirts as we would have preferred one in the centre so that we could visit all the attractions on foot without having to rely on the car, but as we could not find anything central, we decided to go to the Hotel Santa ... ...hotel itself is found on the Santiago – Orense road, very close to another major road – the A9 La Coruna – Vigo. It is approximately 13 km from Santiago de Compostela Airport (roughly a 15 minute drive).
*
In reality, although it is situated on the outskirts of Santiago De Compostela, it is very close to the city, approximately 3 km away, and roughly 5 minutes travel in a car, but even this distance could make it too far to walk into the centre ...
