Once a year on May Bank Holiday weekend is the flower parade. People supposedly come from around the world to see this. What really happens is that you get a bus up to town in the morning, go to the supermarket and then head down to the river bank to drink. At some point in the late afternoon someone will jump into the river and everyone will cheer.
In the evening its either Merlins or The Granary - I have heard there is a new club but I dont know about that. Merins has a snooker/pool hall bit which is good to hang out in. The Granary is alot grimier but I used to prefer it.
'We are the children of the night'
The Candy Bar - little sweet shop where you can buy millions (small sweets).
Spalding is ok if you end up there - not worth going out of your way for. Probably lots of places like it. I had fun living there will I did.
Update - I forgot to say exactly where Spalding is. Its 52degrees, 46' North 000degrees 08' West.
