A Desert Oasis

Advantages: Far too many too many to mention.
Disadvantages: Haggling at the Bazaar

We rarely spend Christmas at home and prefer to get away from the miserable English weather to somewhere hot, but our choices are normally limited. This Christmas just gone we decided to go to Egypt where we knew we would be guaranteed the sun. We stayed at the Reef Oasis Blue Bay Resort and Spa from 21st December 08 until 2nd January 09. The hotel is situated just outside Ne'ama Bay at Sharm El Sheikh, just a 15 minute drive from Sharm airport. Situated in the Sinai Peninsular and overlooking the Beautiful Red Sea. I should mention this is classed as a 5* hotel and is all inclusive. (643 rooms on two floors) First Impressions On arrival we found ourselves travelling along a very grand, tree lined driveway, the trees were dripping with fairy lights, it was like entering Santa's grotto, very, very magical ...

Review of Reef Oasis Blue Bay Resort and Spa

Turtle Bay Resort, Relax and enjoy the gorgeous views.

Advantages: all brilliant
Disadvantages: expensive

From my experience at the Turtle Bay Resort, I would absolutely recommend it to anyone else. My family and I (four of us) stayed in a little cottage at the side of the bay, with two luxurious king sized beds, an outside patio with a table and breath taking views- sunset was the most amazing time of the day. Our whole time there was very pleasant and I throughly enjoyed every second of it. The facilities included a games room and exciting pools, one with a water slide and a large hot tub. The is a poolside bar, which also serves food and then a restaurant and shop within the main hotel. From my point of view it is deffinetly worth the money, and you can be guarenteed a relaxing and refreshing stay at the resort. ...

Review of Turtle Bay Resort, Kahuku

Coconut Bay Resort & Spa (And NOW Photos: 19/2/08)

Advantages: Close to the airport for transfers, Great Food.
Disadvantages: Lots of seaweed gets washed up on the beach.

: Within the hotel is a small shop that sells all the 'typical' holiday things you'd expect. Tea, tea-towels, sun lotion, food stuffs, alcohol, post cards & stamps. They also have a seperate jewellery shop. Currency: The hotel accepts credit cards should you need to buy anything but otherwise, out and about they use EITHER USA dollars or Eastern Caribean Dollars (about 5 of these make up 1 USA dollar). Some small shops in towns or markets will ONLY accept Eastern Caribean! The snack bar: This is by the pool, is open for long hours, from about 11am until 1am and your snack is cooked to order. The children will love the fact they can serve themselves with soft drinks! and get their own food, like burger and chips, steak and chips, fish and chips, indeed about a dozen items. As the resort is all-inclusive the orders cost nothing ...
