The room had a large bed, large balcony and there was a safe and fridge in the wardrobe. The bathroom was modern and all was very clean.
The staff were extremely friendly, and the people who manned the desk all spoke good English and were able to advise us on local places to go.
Locally there were a couple of wonderful restaurants serving fantastic food for reasonable prices, only a five minute walk from the hotel.
However, the hotel is situated slightly out of the town of Desenzano. This was not too much of an issue for us as we had a car and were not there in high season so could park easily in the town, but would be a 20 min brisk walk without.
On the plus side, Lake Garda was only across the road from the hotel and if you prefer peace and quiet the hotel certainly offers that.
In summary I would stay here again if visiting Desenzano ...

This review of the hotel will be a bit limited as I only stayed there for one night in April 2007. I arrived late in the evening and left early in the morning so this is merely my impression of the room and check in/check out.
I went to Gothenburg on a short company trip in April 2007. I took a taxi from the airport to the hotel. The taxis seem to operate on fixed prizes and I think I paid about 320 SEK (about 47 $) for the drive. At least it contained some excitement as the driver came up to 160 km/h (about 100 mph) on the highway into town?in a Volvo of course.
The check in was fast and then I went looking for my room?257 I think it was. To avoid strangers getting in one must use the room key to open the elevator. The rooms are spread out in a big square with an atrium in the middle. My room was of course located on the far side ...

I've been to Spar once in the last five years. It was to do a Mystery shopping task. The Spar outlet was located on a garage forecourt quite close to where I lived but I had never been to this place before. It was a cold blustery day as I recall. It wasn't a pleasant experience. ...yes, the event took place on the 22nd November 2007. I had to find £5 worth of items for which I was to be reimbursed. This was not an easy task. There was little to choose from and even less that was appetizing along the untidy neglected aisles. The food looked not fresh and unhealthy, I really didn't want to buy anything at all. There was little that was not covered in a fine layer of dust. The tins of beans looked dirty and sad. In fact the whole place was rather grim.
