This is a breading place for adult and baby elephants as well as protecting from poachers. The orphanage is there to feed, nurse and house young elephants found abandoned by their mothers. ...The baby elephants are fed early in the morning around 8. Then during mid day they are all taken 400 metres to the river of maha oya where they bath. Here you can get great photo with them and enjoy view at the local bar,restaurant situated there. Don't stand too close they will spray you with water as well!! Colombo International Airport goes by many names including Katunayake International Airport (KIA) and Bandaranayake Internatioal Aiport (BIA. It is fully air-conditiioned and there are no covered walk-ways between the plane and terminal. You have to take a less than 30 second bus ride.
