Times of service were given so I went along on the Sunday at 10 am. There were about 70 people in church despite sudden bad weather (though seasonal for Moscow and as it turned out one of the people who should have been there had been stranded in England by snow and ice).
The Vicar, Fr Simon,was very friendly (perhaps a little ... ...glad I had not taken any Russian Orthodox adherents along as they might have found it a bit too non-conformist!).
The church is being repaired since it was used as a recording studio in Soviet times. Of course, the presence of the Church of England in Moscow is bound to be political, but nonetheless, I found a devout caring community in church and was only sorry I was in Moscow for such a short time and could not even join them for ... more
