Just at the foot of the Arleberg pass, and in the Arleberg is St Anton am Arleberg it is around a 20 mins drive from Landeck and around an Hour by motorway from Innsbruck with major international and ntional rail links St Anton is one of the more easily accessible places to get to in the Austrian Tirol particularly if you do not have a car, if you have plenty of money then you could travel in style as the Venice - Simplon Orient Express stops at St Anton railway Station in each direction, and if you arn't travelling on board why not pop up to the station where you can view the Orient Express when it stops for several minutes.

St Anton one of the more popular Towns in The Tirol and is very popular destination amongst British Tour operators ( Self Drive, Coach and Air) despite being set in Mountains and also the town itself being rather hilly, it is a most interesting place to stay and with lots going on both through the day and in the evenings, of course St Anton comes to life in the winter wiht skiing being available for both the Novice and the Expert Skier.

St Anton is an excellent base from which to explore the rest of the Tirol, with the Kaunertal Valley, Italy, Lichtenstein, Switzerland and Germany all being within and easy day excursion by car, there are many chairlifts and cable cars around St Anton and regular tain service to Bregenz and Innsbruck.

I would not recommend St Anton to those who find hilly environments difficult, I would direct you to Seefeld which is very level despite being in the thick of the mountains..

St Anton is a lively place with lots of night life loads of Hotels and Guesthouses to suit all tastes and pockets and plenty of great walks. If you've never been to Austria then St Anton is an excellent place to start a love affair with the Austrian Tirol and voyage of discovery to the culture of the Austrian Folk...the people are so friendly, the food is excellent, and the culture superb, Austria is also very hot in the summer...
