Advantages Main Stream shops, eating area.

Disadvantages A tad grotty, confusing entrances and exits!

BACKGROUND:
-----------------------
The St Enoch centre in the middle of Glasgow is the largest shopping centre in Scotland...and impressively also the largest glass structure in Europe.

The centre opened in 1989 and since then has become a popular complex for Glaswegians/visitors.

STORES:
----------------------

St Enoch has the major stores you would expect to see in every town centre...TK Maxx, Boots, Bhs, Debenhams etc...you are spolit for choice!

There is a mixture of shops for men, women and children so I epspecially like that the complex isn't aimed at any specific gender or age.

There's a salon, newsagents, travel agents, bank, and even a chinese medicine shop! so you have everything under one roof...especially good for all those ladies who don't want to spoil their hairdo with all the bad scottish weather ;]

LOCATION:
-------------------------
St Enoch centre isn't hard to miss! All the stores that people usually shop at in Glasgow are in the same area...and St Enoch centre is right at the bottom. It is right next to the underground/bus station and a 5 minute walk from the train station so it's VERY easy to get to.

One thing that always throws me when I go [every weekend!] is the exits and entrances. There is so many and it would be easy to get lost for first time visitors. So my advice it just to remember what shop is next to the door you came in from and use that as your exit!

FOOD:
---------------------------
The St Enoch Centre food court has a good selection to chose from and at affordable prices. My personal favourites are, Di Maggios (Pizza, pasta etc) and Spuds R Us ( You guessed it! Baked potatoes).
Just don't expect any 5 star cuisine.

FOR KIDS:
-----------------------------
'The Jelly Club' is on the second floor of the centre. I don't know much about it, as I don't have kids but I'm sure it's some sort of ativity centre thats sure to entertain kids while you are looking for bargains!

I would say St Enoch centre is a good place to go to shop if you don't have much time...or you prefer everything under one roof. Although at times, the centre becomes a little grotty and crowded...it is still a friendly, fun place to go =]
