St. Jacobs Church is situated in the centre of the city of Levoca, which is the best known as a place for christians pilgrimages. The church has rich history and stores many reliques. It is well known for its the highest gothic altar in the world (18m,62cm) made by gothic sculptor Master Pavol from Levoca. In the former town hall in city centre there is historical museum and in fron of it you can see the Cage of dishonour where the bad women were placed in the earlier ages. The city is full of history and it is the right place for those who like baroque and gothic times. Surrounding nature is wonderful therefore you neednt to stay just in the town.
