Advantages: In between the city and beach, very clean, very friendly and helpful staff.
Disadvantages: Maybe slightly too far from city centre.

The daily maid service included a daily top up of teas and any coffee that had been used, your bed made for you, clean towels every day if you wanted them and sometimes they even washed the pots for us. The reception was also very helpful in giving us tourist information and maps etc. The bathroom was very clean, there was a bath, an enclosed shower, sink and toilet. There was soap, shampoos and the normal thing you usually get in hotel bathrooms. The tours we did also picked us up from Medina. The tram service into Melbourne was brilliant, the stop was across the road and the trams were very frequent. St Deny's, the clean hotel for my dirty weekend!

Advantages: Polite and helpful staff, clean hotel.
Disadvantages: Bed a bot on the small side for my husband.

After an incredible weekend away with my darling husband to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary, I have now decided to do my first and quite possibly my last hotel review! Our destination of choice for this excursion was to be a place new to us, so of course the hotel had to be in a prime location at a price we could afford?fortunately we seemed to fall on our feet so to speak on both of these points. Our destination, to be exact was York, and due to the sheer number of attractions available to us, we wanted a hotel reasonably central, or at least within walking distance of the few sights we wished to see. MERTON HOTEL, ST SAVIOUR JERSEY

Advantages: lovely food, polite staff, great swimming pool
Disadvantages: no sea view, small television

not need to go up and down the few other steps that are around upstairs to get to the rooms. Children seem well looked after, with bottles being heated upon request and high chairs provided when necessary. The hotel is across the road from Howard Davis Park and is apparantly a 15 minute walk into the main streets of St Helier. It is a 5 minute drive from the harbour. We stayed there so that we could walk in to town each night, however, once we were there and saw the food, we decided to make use of the free half board and stay in the hotel each evening. The Park is lovely however to walk around. There is a small shop directly across from the hotel, which sells postcards, stamps, parking cards, newspapers, gifts, sweets and drinks.
