We travelled with Virgin holidays and stayed at Escape the Gap. The whole experience was perfect. The hotel was very nice with great food freindly people set right on the beach. The town which is a short stroll away has lots of great bars and restaurants. We were concerned the town maybe a bit san antonio style as its described as the liveliest town in Barbados but it is not at all rowdy, when we were out we felt 100% safe and there was not many people out really. There were 4 adults on this trip aged 26-32 We had an amazing Mexican meal on the corner of the main strip cant recall the name...Also ate at harliquins which was sensational. The beach well you have never seen one like it. Pure white soft sand, cleanest bath water warm sea. The sea can get choppy on windy days !
Virgin Holiday also made us feel special with private transfers and virgin trips and tours where we received T-Shirts etc. Will be going back to Barbados as soon as we can (got to see other places too) We would go back to St Laurance Gap also but I am sure theres many other fantasic towns waiting to be visited.
Theres also buses which we used on a regular basis to hop from one town / beach to the next, very freindly reliable buses much more then in the UK....
