St Patricks Day, 2000. The fun was never ending. Do go if you get the chance. We went and stayed in Temple Bar, flew with Ryan Air for £25 + Taxes and had a ball.

we should all be truly thankful for. It's virtually impossible to imagine St. Patricks day without the drinking, merry-making, dancing and endless spontaneous outbursts of Phil Coulter’s ‘Ireland’s Call’ and this inflatable drinks cooler is a perfect way to help celebrate the great Irish holiday in true fashion. This inflatable drinks cooler measures 63.5cm x 48cm and is great value for money. Simply fill with ice and chill out….or get blind drunk and fall over – it’s all good.

The bars and pubs serve great Guinness - we found O'Neills to be the best - just around the corner from Molly Malone's Statue, near the Tourist Information centre in the Church.
A great time was had by all. Well worth a visit - do go!
Advantages: A beautiful city with lots to see and do Disadvantages: I didn't find any
This was my first visit to Ireland and won't be my last. We had a 4 day coach tour from the North East of England with a ferry crossing from Holyhead. The coach journey was much too long although I did enjoy the ferry crossing - next time I'll go by plane.
What can I say about Dublin - the people were so friendly & helpful. The whole weekend had a carnival feel but I suspect they are just as friendly all the year round. The pubs were very full in ... ...but the food was very good & we tried a few different venues over the weekend.
We stayed in a hotel out of the city centre so it was quite a trip into town but the accomodation was so good it was worth it. The parade itself was very impressive but the view was quite restricted by the crowds along the streets. More floats displaying above eye level would have been better for everyone to see.
We also had some coach trips around Dublin, a stud farm ...

Advantages: Great if you love karaoke ! Disadvantages: Can be a little smoky when busy
If you love karaoke this is the place to be a smallish bar just at the top of St. James street!
This bar has karaoke and a disco most nights of the week and tends to draw in the usual karaoke crowd especially on tuesday nights as Yates also has a karaoke so people tend to float betweent the 2 bars! Normally open to twelve / one some nights to see the openin hours you are best contacting the bar as I am not sure!
Chambers normally has a fun atmosphere with people dancin between singers and durin!
It has a small dance floor placed just infront of the dj box and stage area!
They have quite a good choice of songs for those of you who love to sing!
This bar can be a little loud so definately not a place to go for a quite drink! Think of it more as a party bar!
Of course with it being an irish themed bar it is fab on St. Patricks ...
Advantages: small friendly hotel right in th heart of dublin Disadvantages: nightclub may be noisy in peak season if at the front of the hotel
i stayed at the grafton in december with my fiancee for his birthday. I read the other review and realised that maybe it was so busy and noisy forthem because of it being st. patricksday as when we went the nightclub was pretty empty every night!!!
We stayed for two nights and we paid £220 including flights with ryanair too, through a tour operator.
we stayed in a double room and we thought the room was of good size if not a little dark and it had the usual tea/coffee facilities and tv.
i agree with the other reviever about the hairdryers as they are difficult to use and not the most powerful but it saves you some room in your suitcase!!
we also had breakfast included and we both thought it was really nice with a good selection of hot foods and cereals etc. It wasn't very busy in the mornings but we were up quite early both ...
Advantages: Live music, central location, good service, good atmosphere Disadvantages: no food served
I wouldn?t usually consider making an extra special effort to go to an Irish pub when away for a few days ? there are so many now that their ubiquity has also proven their downfall - I try to avoid if I can, although that is not always possible of course! However, a business trip to Helsinki and StPatrick?sDay overlapping and the temptation of perhaps getting some Irish stew lead me and another fellow conference delegate to head into Molly Malone's - having stopped at one of the Mr. Pickwick's chain pubs to escape the icy wind in Helsinki.
Location:
The pub is located on Kaisaniemenkatu ? about 5 minutes walk from the main train station - and not far from the Kaisaniemi metro station - in other words bang smack in the centre of Helsinki, being also only 2-3 minutes walk from the Esplanaden and 5 minutes walk from Mannerheimintie ...
