I can't believe I'm the first person to write a review on St.Pete! Well it's situated in Florida, U.S.A and reaches temperatures around 90 degrees. It is about a 30 minute drive away from the famous tourist destination Busch Gardens. Busch Gardens is well known for the world's best rollercoasters and wildlife.
St.Pete is a relatively large place with many places to visit, such as the local mall. Here there are shops such as the Nike store, Tommy Hilfiger and a Rockport outlet. You can also buy your shopping at reasonable prices, or alternatively eat at many of the fast food places around and believe me it really is fast food!
The resort my family and I stayed at, "Pass-a-Grille" was extremely pleasant, situated on the beautiful sandy beach of St.Pete. Although the name of the resort may put people into a confused state of mind, the appartments and scenery were beautiful. The great thing was you could sit on your balcony and eat your dinner whilst watching the sea and the gorgeous sunset.
As I mentioned earlier, St.Pete is very close to Busch Gardens, a famous tourist attraction.
Busch Gardens is a place for both children and adults to visit, with many rollercoasters, wildlife and shows to see.
Rollercoasters:- Busch Gardens is home to two of the world's best rollercoasters, the "Kumba" and the "Montu". Thses coasters take your body to the unholy limit of 3.85 G's whilst flipping you through 8 loops and making your body weightless for 3 full seconds! Other coasters in the park include the "Gwazi" a huge wooden coaster, made to look old-fashioned and the "Scorpion", a smallish coaster taking your body through one 360 degree loop.
Wildlife:- The wildlife in Busch Gardens is really quite stunning. There are a variety of animals to see, including the world's most venomous snakes! You can come face to face with crocodiles and Siberian tigers. The Wildlife is an experience not to be missed, especially for the people who avoided the rollercoasters!
Shows:- There are great shows and entertainment at Busch Gardens including an ice show, acrobats, a dolphin show, a wild bird show and a hospitality tent for people to watch the great music from talented musicians. I would definitely recommend you see the shows if you ever visit Busch Gardens.
There is loads more to do and see arond the park, although the tickets are quite expensive to buy, it will be well worth your while(if the weather holds up!).
Well that's just a taster of what St.Pete can offer, you can also visit the local waterpark, and if you fancy staying indoors why not rent a movie?! I managed to find loads of kids my age at the resort, so if you are concerned about your children been bored, there is no need to worry at all. "Pass-a-grille" provides excellent facilities and just goes to show what St.Pete can offer. Also everbody I spoke to around the area was extremly nice and friendly and were always interested about how you are doing, they set a good example to the British!
St.Pete is very nice and eating out is fairly cheap. It's well worth a visit if you can fish out the heavy price of flying to America. St.Pete=PARADISE!!!

Advantages: CHEAP!! - really good value for money - brilliant public transport Disadvantages: a fair bit of red tape in repect of sorting ones own trip there!!
