Advantages: No nonsense hotel with fabulous views. Good price. Good location. Disadvantages: Doesn't have all the mod cons of a chain hotel, however it has character!
My family has been staying at this hotel since the 1940?s across three generations and it is a hotel that I will remember from my childhood. I recently returned to stay here for a family funeral and write this review based on my stay in June 2009.
The StadeCourt stands proudly on the seafront at Hythe and has brilliant views over the English Channel. The art deco architecture makes a bold statement both outside and inside the hotel and more recently under the new owners has been brought into the 21st century with a modernisation program.

My father liked the buffet best and I liked the a la carte ...

It occupies a prominent position on the corner of Nursery Street, where it meets the Wicker. Historically the Wicker is an area of the City that was once a thriving part of Sheffield with lots of Shops and Businesses. Today it is rather run down, although improvements are currently underway, and most of the businesses in this area are now take aways and other fast food outlets.
The Riverside CourtHotel actually occupies quite an enviable location at the top end of the Wicker. It sits on Lady's Bridge next to the Exchange Brewery Works with views overlooking the River Don and the new Apartment Blocks on the opposite banks of this River. Lady's Bridge was built in ...
