Advantages: Great atmosphere, food and freindly people Disadvantages: Distance to travel to get there
...Sydney is a great city to visit, with lots to see and do that will interest all the family. Children will love the ferries that operate in Sydney harbour that make 'getting there' part of the fun of a good day out. The best views of the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge can be seen from the ferry from doublebay!
The Opera House is an amazing sight, but we found it prety inaccessible with a buggy. nearby there is the Rocks which on Saturday and Sunday is home to a fantastic craft market where you can but all sorts of goodies at great prices.
Eating out is cheap, by UK standards, and there are so many places to choose from - buy a copy of 'Cheap Eats' which lists pretty much every restaurant in Sydney worth going to (not just the cheap ones). we particularly enjoyed Doyle's Fish Restaurant at Watsons Bay, Limoncello in DoubleBay...

...fridge. In fact I have stayed in much pricier hotels which didn't have half as much room!
The bed was not luxurious but defiantly comfortable and spacious and the extra pillows which were provided made for a good nights sleep.
Tea and coffee facilities were provided as was a small bar fridge. (The fridge was not stocked.) and microwave.
Price
At the time I paid $99 (AU) for a double room for 1 night.
As I was already in Sydney at the time I booked direct on their website.
You can also book on Expedia from £61 per night.
Hotel Restaurant
The hotel does not offer room service but does have a restaurant and bar. It wasn't overly special but quite convenient for breakfast. Word to the wise - Don't waste any time eating in the hotel when there are so many great places to eat on your doorstep… Check out near by Cockle bay and King Street...

Booking a hotel in New York can be a somewhat bewildering experience - there is far too much choice! This can be a burden -your choice of hotel can make or break a holiday and with such a wonderful city as New York, it becomes even more important.
