Oakleigh Guest House

Advantages: A warming, pleasant atmosphere with spotless rooms and good service
Disadvantages: Decor not particularly modern

gives a nice view. For those of you who have never heard of Stourport it is around 4 miles from Kidderminster and around 15 miles from Birmingham. If you are accessing it from a motorway then your best bet is to exit the M5 at Junction 5 at Droitwich in Worcestershire which then leaves you a 20 minute drive to find the small town of Stourport on Severn. ~The Guest House Itself~ The guest house is a rather substantial looking building and is set back from the road. It has a decent sized car park which homes around 10 cars. The building itself is cream and white fronted and gives the impression of a clean, well looked after building. Fathers Guest House, great place in the Cameron Highlands

Advantages: Location, views, surroundings
Disadvantages: Disappointing dorm room

If you call the owners in advance letting them known when you will arrive then they will collect you from the town and save the walk up the hill with heavy bags. They also tend to be one of the touts who wander the bus drop off area and so if you arrive by bus then there is almost always someone there who you can ask to get a lift up the hill. Driving up towards the guesthouse the first thing that is obvious is that this is a beautiful area. The views from the top go right across the town and amongst the rolling hills of the area. The Cameron highlands ...

Outdoor fun for the kiddies

Stanley Playground All children love to run around outside and let off some steam along with their friends. Likewise, us parents love to see our children having fun at the same time as keeping active. When I was younger I used to go to the park with my family and my friends all the time and have many memories of spending weekends climbing on climbing frames and pushing my friends on the swings. I always used to get excited about the prospect of a trip to the park and it was always so busy. Since having my own baby I have realised that plagrounds seem to be few and far between and are usually no more than a few swings and maybe, if you're lucky, a slide. Recently though, the area of Stanley has improved their old playground and made it an ideal place for children to play. Stanley Stanley is a suburb of Wakefield ...
