Welcome to Bold Street, Liverpool

Advantages: Great modern area
Disadvantages: Crowded sometimes

Shopping in my hometown of Liverpool is great when you compare it with other small towns and cities. There are hundreds of shops crammed into one small area. The area I am writing this opinion on though is BOLD STREET. Bold street is situated off the main area of Church street and is the place to be seen with trendy bars and bar cafes. Starting from the top as we go down the road there is a... >Barclays Bank >Liverpool shop >Coffee union >Dane furniture >Bar Tabac >Waterstones. In between all of these shops you will find some great little shops like Chandlers, Home and Bargain, Maggie Mays coffee house, The works books and lots more. Leading off this road is Liverpool Central station which takes you to other areas of the city pretty quick. Also busses are available at either end of the road. There are about 12 ...

Review of Bold Street

Not as high as a 42

Advantages: fair drink prices, vending machine, very clean
Disadvantages: samey music, can get quite busy, not enough seating

I used to be totally into the Indie scene but now Ive been more influenced into rock but a friend asked if I wanted to go to 42nd Street and I had always heard good things so I decided to head on down. Its situated on bootle St in deansgate just off the main road. The entrance is plainly just a door with the flatboars sign with the 42nd street logo so if you didnt know what youwas looking for it could be pretty hard to find. The club is upstairs of the building so there are a few stairs and therefore not really suitable for those in a wheelchair or difficulties with climbing stairs such as crutches. The entrance fee wasn't that bad, I paid £4 after 10:30pm with an NUS card which is about the same as 5th Avenue and other clubs. The dancefloor is located in the middle of the room between two bars and lit up with UV lights and some disco so ...

Starbucks Review

Advantages: Great coffee, nice surroundings
Disadvantages: Expensive

Starbucks is a global coffee house chain; in fact it's the biggest coffee house company in the world. It was founded in 1971 in Seattle, Washington, and now has over 15,000 stores in 44 countries. It enjoyed a huge expansion in the 1990's which included its first chain outside North America (Tokyo in 1996) and the first UK Starbucks in 1998. As well as coffee, Starbucks sell a wide variety of beverages including Hot Chocolate, Fruit Smoothies and bottled water. They also sell snacks such as muffins, caramel shortbread as well as healthier alternatives such as yogurt and 'skinny' muffins. To me, the prices overall are a little expensive, but I pay them because no-one makes coffee like they do! I know a lot of people don't like it and they think the coffee is too sickly etc, but I do like the sweetness. I don't like black coffee so ...
