Advantages: Lots to see and do, the metro, Disadvantages: Eating out can be expensive, everyone else is there too (everyone loves Paris)

Back to our walk…we continued to walk from the Les Halles area towards Place de la bastille and this part of the city is called Marais. The streets are narrow and it seems very quiet at least if you are coming from the Les Halles area. I think this is Paris' jewish quarter - some good falafel shops too. On the way we passed by Musée Picasso, maison de VictorHugo but we only stopped at place des Vosges which was Paris very first square built in 1609. Françoise Sagan took her last breath in her apartment on the Seine. And Georges Simenon's famous character, Inspector Maigret, investigated murders around Place Clichy.
In the 1920s, the cream...

An award-winning musical which might never be seen in the UK, Avenue Q is weird, wonderful, tuneful and more than a little rude. Not for prudes or children, the cast recording reflects the musical in every way. One of my favourite CDs, it's not for... more
Blake Edwards had a unique style of film; all the films seemed to have a certain atmosphere while each maintaining an individual character. Of course, Julie Andrews was a frequent actress in his films – Edwards and Andrews are married, and have been... more
