Disadvantages: get booked up very quickly in summer, no lift to floors.

.... The reception is not manned all day and all night, but you can obtain you key code for the door (if booked in advance) by inserting the card you used to book into a machine. It prints out the room numbers and the keycode. so it doesn't matter what time you turn up, which is really handy if you are travelling around and don't know what time you will get there. You can also pay for a room with the machine on the door and receive instant access and payment!! If you have any problems with your room, just let the receptionist know and they are always very happy to help. Need extra pillows (like my dad) they have them in the cleaners cupboard and will get one for you!!! I do however remember the name of the nightclub, "Luz de Gas", which is a theatre, converted during the evenings into a rather trendy Spanish nightclub. However, the name of the bar we went to before the nightclub is also lost on me…. Pay attention don't I?!! Luz de Gas is very popular with the Barcelona Socialites and, it seems, the homosexual community! I was chatted up by no less than 3 guys, and absolutely no females (sob, sob!) … It must have been my new gangster hat! Advantages: Great facilities, beautiful city.

...I recently travelled to this hotel in bracelona for 3 nights. It is a great hotel, which offers cool views over the city from your room. From the lift you can easily make out mount Tibidabo, the highest mountain in Barcelona. The rooms were well furnished and to a good high standard, offering many of the signature novotel features such as being able to hear the TV through bathroom speakers, movable desks, and luggage racks that turn into breakfast trays. There were very few problems with the room and the only complaint i have to make is a broken skirting board, and an unpleasant lump of nose dirt on the wall from a horrible guest and obviously missed by the maid. The room is well equiped with satellite TV, ensuite bashrooms with shower and bath, large comfy bed and sofa which turns into another bed for extra guests. Air conditioned... Read review
