...Small very atmospheric bar ala club style very close to the Ramblas in the center of the city. It is near placa Catalunya in the center of town.
Excellent mix of different sorts of music and dj's:
check their site for exact programming or flyers.
Very good example of a central small venue for 25-40 year olds in this beautiful city in Spain. Club where you can still easily talk with your friend and enjoy the music on a small dance floor.
2 spaces a red lit bar area, where it is nice to chat and hang out and a also a small dance room with projectors.
Well worth a visit.

...The first thing that a visitor should do when visiting this marvelous city is forget all the preconceptions that they have about Spain - Barcelona is another world!
As you might know Barcelona is situated in Catalunya (Spain is divided in many regions and Catalunya is one of them). Each region has their own cultural background, customs, traditions and some speak other languages. Catalunya is very different from the rest of the regions in Spain and Barcelona is its capital.
If you went to Barcelona and were expecting to see some bullfighting or flamenco dancing, you are in the wrong place!! Barcelona is a city well known for its cultural diversity and for being very cosmopolitan.
I am not going to give you an extensive description of areas to visit, just some guidelines, I believe the best way of discovering a city is by getting a map...

...Hotel Continental is located on the ramblas. See if you can get a room that has a balcony facing on the ramblas. The ramblas comes alive from around 6/7pm at night and is a fantastic site to see.
The hotel itself is a really nice hotel. The rooms are of a generous size and are decorated in a homely style. The beds were comfortable, the room was very clean and the patio doors shut out the sound of the ramblas very well. It is a great base for you to discover Barcelona which is a beautiful city with much to see and do. It is situated perfectly for shopping, for the bus tours, you must do this, for the beach at the end of the ramblas and the port itself.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is also located very near to the train station so you are able to get to and from the airport via train should you wish to...
