It was the talk of my 6th form common room. Having free periods is a god-send when you are studying A-Levels, and to have somewhere to relax when there is no work to do (or when there is) is an added bonus.
It seems to be one of the things to do at my age. Go to a café and chill out with a cup of coffee. You can really do this at Starbucks because the seats are so comfy! It was one of the main reasons why I had to go and check this place out. People were talking about how comfy the seats were for a café, and how relaxed the atmosphere is in there.
As soon as I walked in I could tell it was slightly more classy than the other café’s in my town (not hard though). It was modern, had a nice seating area downstairs with a fair bit of room, and upstairs was even better. There are not many seats upstairs, which is a shame as that is where the comfy seats are, but being fully cushioned for your back and arms, you do feel even more privileged because of the lack of seats. The music in the background consists of modern chart tracks, but more lyrical songs, not dance or anything along those lines. Paintings and pictures on the walls makes you feel homely, and the place seems to invite you to just sit down with a couple of mates and have a cup of coffee and have a chat.
Often, with quality comes cost. This applies to Starbucks on quite a shocking scale. This is when I tell you that I have only been there a couple of times because of the costs. The surroundings in Starbucks must have cost a lot of money, and to get this money back, their products are sold at high prices. I do not remember exact prices as it a while ago since I went in, but I do remember that I did not get any change from a fiver for buying two coffees and a chocolate muffin. In fact, I had to give another 55p to the polite and well-dressed staff behind the counter. This was basically a bit of an eye-brow raiser for me.
Starbucks must know that café’s are popular with students, but I do not see them having to many repeat-purchases from people of my ‘young’ age. Yes, it is great in there. If you can get away with buying one drink between four of you then quickly heading upstairs to grab some seats then fine. But now, this also seems to be hard, as you have to buy one item if you want to sit in there. Yes, that’s what I thought. At the prices they charge, it is not really worth it.
If you are not a student then you may be able to afford it, so it would be worth checking out. Definately more so than if you are a student.
General opinion, great place, very comfy, but very expensive.

Everyone knows that eating and drinking out is generally quite expensive, but I can't see the
justification for the prices charged by these coffee bars. I guess some people are willing to pay anything
to be seen in the "right" places.
Very well-written review, that was enjoyable to read.

Advantages: Heavenly taste, huge range of coffee (incl. soya milk varieties) and an atmosphere that oozes cool and sophistication Disadvantages: Can get packed in there, the foreign staff sometimes have a hard time conversing, and you need to be a millionaire to go regularly

Review of Starbucks (London)
Advantages: Brilliant location, modern rooms, clean and friendly. Disadvantages: None I can really think of, if I had to mention something it'd be the pricey internet.
