I am a regular Starbucks customer. I go there at least once a fortnight. I'm not too sure if that is good or bad considering their reputation (extortion prices, monopolising capitalists). I do try to avoid the lure of the delicious coffee aroma floating around the streets of London, but I always end up waltzing (not literally!) to the counter, and placing my order.
I tend to stick to the Cappuccinos and Frappuccinos. I once ordered a Hot Chocolate, and that turned out to be very gritty, with all the residue at the bottom of the mug. Same thing happened when I ordered a Cafe Mocha; it must be something in the chocolate.
When ordering a Cappuccino, I tend to pay extra for either Hazelnut or Almond syrup. I assure you, the £0.30 extra does make a difference to the drink! Topped with some Cinnamon dusting, sadly, the drink is a real treat for a poor student like me.
*£1.79 for Tall sized (small) Cappuccino. £2.09 for Cappuccino with Syrup*
The downside to the Cappuccino is that the barrista is more likely to only half fill the cup with hot milk, and the other half is just milk foam. If this happens, just ask them to top it up with more milk. You should get what you pay for!
Now to my favourite, the Frappuccino. I tend to go for the Mocha Frappuccino. My friends always tell me off for buying these. "It's just an ice slush for Pete's sake!” That is true, but Frappuccinos are so irresistible! The perfect partner for your summer holiday shopping. Again, I pay £0.30 extra just for syrup (either Hazelnut or Almond)
£2.60 for Tall sized (small) Mocha Frappuccino, £2.90 with syrup*
Prices for Frappuccinos can range from £2.30 to £3.50*
Food: I don't purchase food from Starbucks anymore, but for the few I've tried -
Paninis. It's about £3 for just a piece of heated Italian bread with filling, but they are really nice!
Sandwiches - Taste really bland. You're better off going to a supermarket or an alternative place to buy sandwiches.
Muffins - Look delicious - and are! But you're probably better off buying ones from the supermarket, since they're about £1-2 each.
A tip for you to get value for your money - Order a coffee, say "no milk". The barrista will fill the coffee almost to the rim of the cup. Go away and drink that little bit, then add milk when desired.
Cons - Depending on who serves you, the barrista probably wouldn't care if your coffee is overflowing and coffee running down the side of your mug.
- The prices are disgustingly high for what the product is.

Advantages: Brilliant location, modern rooms, clean and friendly. Disadvantages: None I can really think of, if I had to mention something it'd be the pricey internet.
