...ok i am going to give a more detail view of Madrid. First of all Madrid is the greenest city in Europe , people don´t know that but is true you´ll find historical parks like Retiro, Campo del moro, fuente del berro,el capricho parque del oeste and on the other hand you have new parks like Juan Carlos I close to the airport and huge parks like casa del campo. A good itinerary to see part of the old Madrid starts at the royal palace, is a towering structure that has already 250 years of history and it is considered one of the best in Europe. Then should take calle mayor and you´ll find at your right La plaza de la villa, It's surrounded by 15th to 17th-century aristocratic mansions that have been taken over by the Town Hall. ...with the main entrance being by the Alacala Gate at Plaza de la Independence. I walked there but you can reach Retiro Park by underground, bus or on the Hop on Hop Off buses. A king and his family were the reason Retiro Parque came into existence and it is now a right royal place to visit, you don't need a regal invitation, it is free, near the heart of the city and a must when in Madrid.... Advantages: Lots to do, everything's cheaper

...When most people think of going away to Spain, they think about the Costas, or the Balearics. However I found that Madrid has plenty to do as well I visited La Reina Sofia Museum of Modern Art. This was my preferred museum There are some really cool exhibitions, even if you are not too keen on art. Also there is Del Prado is one of the most famous art museums in the world. There are mainly “old fashioned” renaissance style paintings in here, but it is interesting to walk around and see them. If it’s a nice day, before you enter the museum I suggest you sit on the grass and look at the gardens, which are very pretty. Parque Del Retiro is also a nice place to sit an eat lunch on a good day. It’s just a walk down the Paseo Del Prado from the Del Prado museum. There are many things to look at and see in the park...
