Review of Rex Hotel, Stockholm by

Advantages: Design hotel, good breakfast, nice area
Disadvantages: Not in the very center of the city
I have been in the "Rex Hotel" for a long weekend in April 2008. The area
The hotel is situated in a quiet street 10-15 minutes walking from the center. In this area there are a lot of supermarkets (including one Lidl), restaurants (Italians, Chineses) and a lot of take aways. There is also a 7eleven that closes around 11.00 pm.
The hotel
When you enter at the hotel you can see the reception, a sofa and a internet desk (free to use). ... ...nice. Not huge but with space enough to have a table, a chest of drawers and a sofa. The bathroom is quite impressive with black stone in a very design style.
In the room there are available two bottles of sparkling water and a detailed dossier of the attractions of the area with a lot of useful information. You can access free of charge to internet if you have a laptop.
The hotel can provide you a map of the city and there are also other leaflets ...

Smart, stylish, perfectly delicious stay!

Advantages: great views, excellent breakfast, clean friendly top class hotel, great location
Disadvantages: Can be a little busy, if that's really that bad!
The Clarion Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden is one of the largest in the city. Situated on Södermalm (the South Island) it's in a busy, trendy location just around the corner from all manner of bars and restaurants, and is literally across the road from Skanstull tube station which will take you to the central station and the city centre in around fifteen minutes. It's very easy to find, signposted from the station, and illuminated from the outside by ... ...four star hotel, and prices are according. Prices vary considerably depending on the season and the days (nights) you wish to stay, so it's worth checking different dates if you can be flexible - you can pick up quite a bargain! Of the price ranges through the week we stayed there we averaged 1000 - 1500 SEK a night (approx. £70 - £110) and we opted for a "Superior Room" which is a little more expensive.
