...Go and visit the mysdterious land of the Potteries and take in the excellent tourist attractions of Vale Park and The Brittania Stadium. ...I am going to Stoke on Trent for a weekend yet again. I have been four time in the last ten years. Sorry I do not go for any of the reasons a resident might hope for. Stoke-on-Trent, with its pottery industry 5 towns, both past and present, The Birth place of Robbie Williams, its connections with the legendary Sir Stanley Mathews and Famous Master Potter Josiah Wedgewood.
If arriving in Stoke-on-Trent via train, you would probably arrive at Stoke train station itself, outside of the station there is a Taxi service (North Staff/Eagle)(lucky Seven)(knights) and (Sids Taxi's) are all very reliable and reasonably priced, The local bus service( First Stop) operate on a regular basis, there is also independent smaller bus companies as well.
If wanting to use any of the local collages they are all in short walking distance of the train station, on exiting the station turn right, take your first left, and you will find Stoke-on-Trent on your right hand side.
If you want Stoke town...
