Both myself and my wife went to Strada in York for a meal to help celebrate our 1st aniversary. upon entering the restaurant I introduced myself to the staff member and told him that we had a reservation for 1830hrs, the instant reply was, " Thats fine sir, but you do know you'll have to leave by 1930hrs?" Everything was a whizz from then on, quick service, but too quick, plates were taken before the food in your mouth was swallowed....My wife ordered chicken and I ordered Steak, rare to medium. Moments later they arrived, the chicken in my wifes opinion was "tasteless" due to being too dry, however my steak was 'blue'. this was sent back only to be returned burnt, on the same plate as before with a now 'dead' salad and cold potatoes, upon asking why it was returned to me in that condition I was told "was it not the steak you had the problem with." The manager wouldnt make eye contact with myself when I asked to speak to him, he did however offer to remove to steak from the bill,which I accepted and I also asked for him to remove to tip due to the unprofessionality of the kitchen and waiting staff. Wont even cross the doors of a Strada again!
