We paid £115 for a double room for one night and full english breakfast.
We found the hotel and used the free car parking facilities outside. There is ... ...dark wood with pictures of Stratford hanging up. There was a flatscreen telly on the wall with the sound down on the rugby match. Behind us was a cigarette machine with various boardgames to play. Unfortunately on closer inspection some pieces had walked. So just after 3, we returned to reception only to find our room still not ready.
A further wait of 25 minutes and we managed to get a card and our room.

As a treat for my 35th birthday, my partner treated me to an overnight stay in a hotel of my choosing in the Cotswold district. After much searching on lastminute.com I found the Stratford Victoria Hotel.
The hotel is a four star and is a Marston hotel. There are several dotted around the country. In Stratford there are two - the other being the Stratford manor and is located outside of the town on it's own. We paid £115 for a double room for one night and full english breakfast.
We found the hotel and used the free car parking facilities outside. There is a barrier and CCTV in place. We checked in at 2.40pm and our room was not ready and there is a policy of guaranteed room 3pm onwards. The receptionist was pleasant and offered to take our cases and look after them or we could wait for the room to become available. We opted to wait as the weather was unpleasant and we had only a few minutes to wait anyhow. We walked into the terrace lounge bar and bought a round of drinks. There was a menu with light meals available, if you wanted. The decoration is mainly dark wood with pictures of Stratford hanging up.
Room 111
On the ground floor at the end of the corridor we were. The room was large and spacious and had the bed, wardrobe, trouser press, telly and hairdryer in situ. Quite nicely decorated and comfortable once we sorted the heating out. The bathroom was um..... well less impressive. Grey suite, pink and grey large tiles with a bath and stand in bath shower. The soap dish was chipped, the pole to the shower curtain was a little corroded and there was a bath mat. This was black and mouldy on the under side. Nice! The shower curtain itself was okay but quite short, only just fitted in the bath. So care had to be taken to have a shower without flooding everywhere. Although there was a helpful notice to tell us to take care whilst showering. So in general the bathroom was functional but it was looking a bit sad. Use was made of the free bottles of bodywash and shampoo though, very pleasant. The telly had sky channels available and radio too. Room service and menu was an option also. We decided to have a paper delivered the next moring and had the choice. After settling in and walking around Stratford, we decided to eat in the hotel. And must say the food was outstanding. French waiter service and nice restaurant with quick service. Well worth trying. The drinks were pricey, can't say how much as I wasn't allowed to see the final bill. We slept well and we went down to breakfast in the morning. Lot's of choice and we could help ourselves. Again nice food and good service. So on the whole a nice hotel and quite a few features that we didn't have time to try and make use of such as the whirpool and mini gym. Nice location, helpful staff and clean. So after a dodgy start with the room availability and poor bathroom as they say all's well that ends well.
Advantages: Good positioning, great staff, lovely place to stay. Disadvantages: No food after 10pm
...my husband took me to Stratford for the weekend to watch a play at the Courtyard Theatre, and we were lucky enough to stay at the Stratford Victoria Hotel.
This is a four-star hotel with excellent facilities and very polite, friendly and efficient staff. Our double room was extremely comfortable and well stocked with hair-dryer, power points, wifi, flat-screen tv, kettle, fridge and air-conditioning (handy as we were there for the hottest weekend ... ...outside the main centre of Stratford and is easily walking distance to the theatres, shops and river. Despite it being positioned on one of the busiest roads in the area, the high-quality double-glazing kept out all the noise .
This was truly a lovely place to stay and we will definitely be going again. Highly recommended. ...
