On a Monday there is no deals on drink the place is kinda quiet and well not really the best place to be i'm usually in my local pub for the pub quiz. Tuesday there is lots of deals a double vodka ... ...i have been charged £1.80 on a tuesday ach well it's still a good deal. Also tuesday it's pritty busy and there is lots of good music in the barony. Right Wednesday the place is totaly dead no deals so no people avoid. Thursday again £1.50 a double vodka and the place is busy again o yeah it's also cheese so loads of good music. Now onto the best night of the week yes that would be friday. Now if that wasn't good enough from 6:30 to 7 it's 50p a vodka now you don't just want singles no you want quads yes they sell quad vodkas and a mixer for £2.50. Now if you thought the que was bad for tennents well start queing at 6 okay but on the plus side they let you order 4 quad vodkas and mixers each so that should get you pissed ;) well unless your some kinda freak. right saturday up until 11 it's buy one get one free on most drinks and the place is alright but really it's only for drinking before going on to further things. And finally sunday well it's quiet. Well there it is the best student night out in glasgow.
Advantages: Central location, excellent music and plenty of talent. Disadvantages: Cheese overload can cause massive brain hemhorage.
Strathclyde Union is unbeatable, off of george square in Glasgow centre it is within walking distance of all night clubs if you want to just start your night there. Or there is plenty of choice, with eight floors and 6 bars all open till 3am. The music is cheesy or if you visit the dark room its dance, or the eighth floor is pop. Advantages: handy for the Strathclyde and Caledonia students defecting from their unions! Disadvantages: a chain such as this could become generic and boring
the same. Reasonably clean, with a fairly generic decorum. As well as plentiful toilet roll (during the day AND night) there are some safety awareness posters, one such poster alerting female customers to be careful who they're walking home with. This pleased the researchers, who feel that a lot of pubs don't care about customers once they've left the premises.
Clubs
The Ark is pretty much a stone's throw away from the StrathclydeUnion. Same procedure as always, if you have a student card you'll get in. If you don't have a student card, then you'll need a student from Strathclyde University to sign you in as their guest.
The Ark is also barely 5 minutes walk from the Polo Lounge in Wilson Street, Delmonica's in Virginia Street, Mas in Royal Exchange Square, and Edge in Cochrane Street.

Advantages: Cultural centre with pleasent areas, that's superior to Edinburgh Disadvantages: High crime rate
, Buchanan Galleries, Sauchiehall Centre and loads of chain stores al over the city centre streets can clearly cope with a nation of shopaholics if need be.
As a student, I obviously have to live up to the cliché and write about the bars. As an Irishman, I have to protest at the inability of most barpersons to pull a proper pint of Guinness and the lack of Irish whiskey in many bars. But the bars are dead cheap and you’ll be ripped off if you pay over £2 for a pint anywhere. My favourite pub in the West End is Curlers, who play excellent music and have wonderfully low prices. The Exchequer is good for prices too, but you cannot go wrong with the various unions such as StrathclydeUnion or the UG unions for cheap booze.
Clubbing tastes are catered for at places such as the pricey Archaos, the Arches, the horrible Garage and G2 ...
