Strawberry Moon - just of a little side street on London's busy Regent Street.
WHY? I accidently ended up in Strawberry Moon after my other half's work do - after they'd served us all the drink they'd let us drink in at the bar of The Langham Hilton we ventured on for somewhere that would serve us more alcohol. We lost a few on the way - but us hardcore party goers made it somehow to the only club we were able to find along the backstreets of London's Regent Street.
THE ATMOSPHERE: After the initial unfriendly entry to the club - the security staff weren't really that chatty - I ventured in to fight my way through the overcrowded top bar to the bottom bar and cloakroom - the moment I entered I knew we were going to need a lot more to drink - several lechy guys tried to pounce immediately only spurred off by the friendly smile on the middle finger of my right hand! The bar downstairs was tiny and I think was playing some more chilled music than the upstairs. The bar was tiny and the bar staff completely useless - this went for the upstairs too - once you finally got served it may take at least five times of telling them before they come up with what you ordered.
THE PRICES: Well around £10 or more to get in, £1or £2 per coat as I remember and the drinks - well pricey London club prices. I went immediately for a whole bottle of white wine - £15 not bad. The only problem being that on my way back to the table from the bar I managed to drop all but one glass - too crowded! The prices for London are acceptable but really not worth it!
THE MUSIC: It would be easier to list what this club didn't play - nothing. It snapped from Cliff Richards to RNB all in one go - very odd, did give me a chance to bop along to all those old songs that you'd never thought you'd here again - mine and my boyfriends companions - also loved it. I've never seen my boyfriend dance so much! To extremely rubbish cheesy music but after a few grasshoppers you'll dance to anything. The dancefloor however was very small - a bit like one of those back rooms at a pub!
THE INHABITANTS: Mostly poor unsuspecting tourists who hadn't realised this wasn't where everyone in London went - A few lechy old men who were out on the prowl and a few love themselves ladies who hadn't been told where the actually good clubs were! This is clearly a tourist trap designed to rip them off - this really isn't the best London can offer.
THE CONCLUSION: I'd never visit again - It was good for a spontaneous evening out on the town - drinking too much and dancing away - I'm glad I got a bottle of wine as the drinks were very pricey and the bar was packed - the staff were useless. It's a shame that Tourists obviously think this is what London's clubbing scene has to offer - there are many better places than this - this is really scrapping the barrel.
THE NIGHT ENDED? With a Rickshaw back to try and find a nightbus. Christmas in the westend is not somewhere you'll find a cab! Strawberry Moon should be reserved only for such a bizarre night.
FOOD: Was there some - I missed that bit? If there was a restaurant I'd never eat in it!

Advantages: Not sure depends how drunk you are and how close this is Disadvantages: Out of town crowd - a bit punchy
