...on and off the trains. Upgrading to first class at a cost (what it cost us) £39 each is well worth it. You get extra leg room, and plenty of extras like champagne, drinks, and a meal. Travelling by taxi to your hotel is somewhat difficult, and you may (like we were) be charged extra for being in a wheelchair, plus extra luggage-a totally unacceptable behaviour. Overall: I would highly recommend this hotel, it is a touch of class, and brings you into a ‘special’ status. ...of bogs and uneasy to habit. On both banks temples had been built they have been replace after by churches. Most of the houses are built in wood only a few temples are made in stone. After the fall of the roman empire Paris have been devastated by barbarian invasions. A first surrounding wall have been built thanks to the rocks taken of the roman arenas, this surrounding wall have been destroyed later but it’s materialised by some stones in “ la rue de la colombe”. In the third century Christianity appears in Paris Since 52 BC and 890 Paris undergo lots of invasion and is devastated each time. Finally King Philippe Auguste orders the building of a surrounding wall that is finish in 1213. Shop the Sixth Arrondissement, with its scads of antique book and print sellers, as well as groovy home and clothing emporiums around St Sulpice Church. Or stick to the Right Bank and window shop in the Marais, sticking to the Rue des Francs Bourgeois where you can pick up Campers at their eponymous boutique. Then cruise the gay-flavored merchants along the Rue Ste-Croix de-la-Bretonnerie. Why not try a lively is a bike tour of the city, or just rent your own and hit the streets. On Sundays, the usually traffic-choked highway along the Quai du Louvre and the Quai des Tuileries on the Right Bank is closed to cars, and is the place to skate, bike or just be seen.
