Wandering through Liverpool is what i was doing when i heard my stomach rumble at me. Hungry it grunted.
OK OK i'm sorry i neglected you i apologised.
I hadn't an idea of where i was at this time because i was on a sight seeing day out in Liverpool.

The answer was to find the nearest place that tickled my fancy.

SUBWAY

I read a huge green and yellow logo sign positioned about 8 feet above my head

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm i thought to myself whats this?

In the window were some menu option signs which at first glance seemed to be a bit tacky.

I decided that this was the only place i had seen in twenty minutes of walking and by this point my stomach had moaned seven times.

I'll give it a go i thought to myself.

What a great decision i'm proud of myself.

For this was the most exciting shop i have ever been in (bar harrods big up alfied)

In front of me lay around fifty containers all with the juiciest looking ingredients i have ever seen. For this is the daddy of sandwich shops i had jus walked into.

'6 or 12 inch sir?' said the rather attractive shop assisstant.
I blushed
'Excuse me'?
'Would you like a 6 or 12 inch sandwich?'
'O rite' i said relieved
After my conscience had had a debate with itself over what i actually needed and what i wanted, the evil one prospered and i went for the 12incher! (I hate it when that happens!!!)

'What bread would you like sir?'
There was a choice of white brown wholemeal sesamee and a nutty bread i couldn't believe it!

I went for the white. 'OK sir what would you like in it? Ham?'

'Er please yeah'

'Beef?'

'Yeah'

and so it went on with all these american meats that looked absolutely irresistable.

Next came the salad counter. In went everything!

Pickle counter. Yeah you guessed one of everything!

Sauce counter. 'Oooh low fat mayonise please don't wanna over do the old calorie count do I?!!!!'

The attractive shop assisstant found this hilarious and so she should of after i got out the shop and realised i had over fifteen ingredients crammed into this huge lump of bread!

Going back a little i got to the till at was wincing at what she was going to hit me with!

'£3.80 please sir!'

'Blimey'

I'd happily pay that for half of what i proceeded to gobble on with a huge grin on my face!!!!

15 minutes later and i'd managed to get anout 2/3rds of the way down it (8inches for the mathmaticians!!!!)

I decided to wrap it up and save it for later.

My stomach has loved me ever since that day

We have a Subway in Wolves, I have never ventured in there though. After reading your op, I shall have to give it a try, I think I'd have to go for - Cheese and Tuna/Mayo on Malted Granary :-), it's my fave sarnie. Excellent op! Ciao for now - J

I eat at Subway constantly when I toured across the USA because it was the only place I could find to get a simple (relatively) sandwich. Have gone off them a bit by consquence but all my friends are still keen. Enjoyed the op. Triciax
