Subway works like a kind of system, you have to move down the shop in stages before you get your food. For example, you firstly choose the bread you would like, their are five different types - I usually have the hearty italian. You then choose whether you would like the 6 inch or if you are really hungry the foot long. ... ...until it stopped. I think subway is fairly expensive, although it is all fresh and you can taste that in the food. An advantage is that it is prepared in ffront of you and each sub is unique and you can change it if you fancy something different. It is definately worth visiting!
Also.. I nearly fogot to mention the drinks are refillable for free :) ... more

When you walk into a subway you are instantly met with the gorgeous smell of warm bread which instantly gets your stomach rumbling! Subway works like a kind of system, you have to move down the shop in stages before you get your food. For example, you firstly choose the bread you would like, their are five different types - I usually have the hearty italian. You then choose whether you would like the 6 inch or if you are really hungry the foot long. You then choose your filling ( chicken tikka is nice ) :) You have the choice whether you have cheese added on top and if you want it to be grilled for a few minutes ( to make it warm and for the cheese to melt). After this you then pick the salad, if you want any, there is quite a large variety for you to choose from including cucumber, lettuce, sweetcorn, red onion, jalepino peppers, etc. Finally you then choose if you would like any sauces added to your sub, I normally stick yo mayonnaise.
After getting to this stage you will now have ended up by the till ready to pay. Lately they've deals where you get crisps or a cookie & a drink for £3.50. This was good until it stopped. I think subway is fairly expensive, although it is all fresh and you can taste that in the food. Do we view Subway as a reliable place for a sandwich whatever time of day or a seller of high calorie, American branded, glabal dominant fast food chain? Hmm depends on what you want at the time, are the sandwiches nice? Well yes obviously, you have complete sway over everything you want, you can pick the type of bread rolls, the filling, whether you want it toasting, what you want as additions and then you watch the sandwich being made, its quick, ... ...So the strengths of Subway are the range of sandwiches, the speed and the comfort of watching your sandwich being made in front of your eyes, you have total control over your sandwich creation. The downsides are the hidden calories if you go for the higher fat content sandwiches, the price it can be quite expensive if all you want is a quick snack and the rage against a globally dominant brand which must be evil as all global brands are crushing ...

...my friends seemed to love subway and couldn't quite get my head round why they seemed to crave the subway sandwiches! I found it very strange how people could get so addicted to these healthy sandwiches!
I was then in town with one of my friends and she said do you want to go to subway so we went. I walked in and saw that you can pick your own bread fillings and sauces. You also have a choice of if you want a foot long sanwich or half a foot! I ... ...In my opinion I think subway is a really good idea as you can make your own sandwiches and it is much better for you than ordering mcdonalds or burger king and they are much better for you. In certain magazines at the moment they are talking about subway diets and how people have been eating subway sandwiches and loosing weight amazing ecspecially when they taste so good! They also have a new light snacks menu which include cheese toasties starting ...

Advantages: Subway is healthier. Disadvantages: Mc Donalds Is Unhealthy.
...gluttonous 1230 calories. But that subway is based on the sub being without cheese, or sauce but i mean who orders a sub with no cheese or sauce? However, Subway does aim to be more healthier than Mc donalds, as Mc donalds do aim to push out their healthy side, such as salad and water, they are still promoting the Big macs and Pounders. Which doesnt really help the matter. Subway on the other hand promotes the "fresh" salad, and 5 a day veg. What ... ...the other hand, small chips, medium chips, large chips, drink, and a salad which probley isnt much healthier than the chips.
Mc Donalds do offer alot more for your money, but more = more calories. Subway you can get a nice sized sandwhich/roll with a nice treat or drink. ...

...decore and musique. The subway is basically just how it sounds, dark and down below. It is a true pre-club-pub. Where the moshers like to hang out before the Ritz and where I like to hang out before 5th Avenue. Monday nights are usually packed after 8Oclock so the musics pumping and the atmosphere is jumping. The more people the more relaxed and back to the music subject - choose you're fave tunes from their soundly compiled juke box. You name it ...

Advantages: Relaxed dress code. Disadvantages: not for the squeamish.
The Subway is to be found downstairs from the grand Central pub on Oxford Rd. A mere stones throw from Oxford Rd. train station. While the upstairs hostelry goes for the 80's standard plastic plant and chrome look, the subway is a world apart.
The walls have stylish mural artwork featuring Music icons such as Hendrix and Dylan. The atmoshpere is definately alternative. The clientele change from week to week and ranch from scarf donning students ...

Subway has really taken off over the past 5 or 6 years. They have at least 1 outlet in most towns and cities in the UK. Often these are in shopping centre type places. The blackpool outlet is in the main shopping area and is ALWAYS busy!
They offer a limited menu (mostly sandwiches) Their new snack menu i feel is meant to extend their range and possible cliantelle. Over the past 2-3 years Subway has put lots of efford into advertising and developing new sandwiches. Their daily sub seems to have really taken off for £1.99. I do feel some of their other sandwiches are a bit too expensive for what you get - pretty small portions.
I like the fact that sandwiches are made fresh onsite - i would much rather buy a subway sandwich than one from a supermarket. You can also choose exactly how much of each filling you want in ...
Advantages: Tasty sandwiches, great choice of fillings, friendly service and hygienic. Disadvantages: Quite pricey for a sandwich.
The Subway is not bad if you want a quick sandwich and a none alcoholic drink, but let me get one thing straight we are not talking about underground subways here. The Subway I'm talking about is situated in Blackpool. It is on Clifton Street where it is extremely difficult to park and where you're likely to get a parking ticket if you don't park properly. Even disabled people because my father in law tried to stop for a minute and was pestered by parking attendants. You would think with all the money Subway has put into it that it would be able to afford a car park by now.
Anyway with that aside I must say what I like about Subway. I like the fact that the staff all wear gloves to make the sandwiches. It makes a difference to going into some café's where they make everything with hands that might not have been washed. So ...
Advantages: gorgeous tasting sarnies.... Disadvantages: the disadvantage being i have nothing to enter here!

---LOCATION---
In Liverpool, we used to have only one subway outlet, but in the last year two more have opened up in the city centre. The origional one is the only one with tables though, as the other two are take-outs only.
Now I dont enjoy eating in the street so I find this a bit dissapointing but what the hey!...
They are opening another one newly built just near me with a new Tesco express and choices video store. So this will be convenient.
