** Why Sudbury? **
If home is where the heart is I should still be living in Suffolk. All of our five children were born there. I passed my driving test there. And in the market town of Sudbury we bought our first house (and our second and third).

timbered house has a history dating back over 500 years and has been an Inn since 1580. Moulded Oak Beams frame the Reception Area and other authentis features include a huge Elizabethan fireplace in the Lounge and Antique Carvings in the Cordell Restaurant. A former principle Posting House in Tudor times, today the Bull is renowned for its excellent cuisine and Chefs Specialities.
Advantages: A lovely little town with a huge history Disadvantages: Can get a bit crowded on market days

I discovered Sudbury the same way I discovered Ahwaz in Iran: through the pages of the Times Educational Supplement. Every teacher knows this journal as the means of escape from their present frying pan of a job into the fire of another. Or to put it more simply, it’s stuffed with adverts for teaching posts, not just in the UK but around the world as well.
I hadn’t ... ...Whereas a few minutes in Sudbury and I was hooked.

Advantages: A busy market town, with a good range of shops Disadvantages: Parking can be difficult on a Saturday, lack of transport
Sudbury is a thriving market town in the county of Suffolk, situated on the A134 between Bury St Edmunds and Chelmsford, with a population of approximately 18000.
My grandparents have lived in Sudbury for most of their lives, and still live in the same house that my Mother was raised in. Sudbury is our closest town, and I visit it at least three times a week, either to shop, or to attend the gym, or to visit friends and family.
Sudbury is the birthplace ... ...times.

Although Sudbury is a small town, it does have a good range of shops. The main shopping centre is North Street, and The Market Hill, although there are others in the precinct and Friars and Gainsborough Street.
Tesco is situated on the outskirts of the town, but in the town itself, are Waitrose, Roys, and Somerfield, as well as Iceland. Tesco does seem to be the most popular as it is a large supermarket, whereas the others ...
