Advantages: Beautiful country, beautiful women! Disadvantages: The beer is too expensive!
...I go to Sweden every other month as my girlfriend lives there. I have been there about 10 times now. Sweden is a lovely country to visit, I can certainly recommend it. You'll find Sweden is cold in the winter, especially if you visit the East, or the North, however it has good summers, probably better than we have in the UK. My knowledge of Sweden does not yet extend to the North.
Most Swedes can speak English, so you don't need to worry about not being able to communicate with the locals! There is some lovely countryside in Sweden as well as several large and exciting cities. In the country you're free to walk or camp on public land, more or less wherever you like. The country has many lakes, which make popular spots for swimming in the summer, as well as some rocky landscapes and forests not too dissimilar to UK ones in terms...

Advantages: The beautiful nature, the independent-rock scene Disadvantages: The lack of "nightlife" during the week

From the early autumn to early May you can go skiing in one of the many skiing resorts, or try more unusual things such as the Ice Hotel (as the name might suggest, it’s a hotel built out of ice, with a temperature of minus four degrees centigrade inside). Though...

In search for Alba, or "Where the hell is the Aronsborg?"
---------------------------------------------------------------
Of course Alba didn't show up at the airport as she had promised. She had told me that she was staying at the Aronsborg Hotel, "in a suburb of Stockholm". Just to be on the save side, I called the hotel to ask for a route description. The "suburb" turned out to be the small town of Balsta, 35 miles northwest of Stockholm, and 30 miles west of Arlanda Airport. When the taxi driver had finished looking up Balsta in his road map after five minutes, we could finally take off.
The taxi ride lasted almost an hour and took me on small roads through endless forest of birch trees and conifers, only occasionally separated by fields, lakes and small villages. And here Sweden immediately caught my imagination: I had to think of dinner...
