The town of Mildenhall is located in the county of Suffolk, East Anglia. Its location is approximately 10 miles NE from Newmarket (famous for its horseracing) and 13 miles NW of Cambridge. Mildenhall is probably most famous for its annual Air Fete at the RAF base which takes place on the last weekend in May. The Air Show is run by the U.S Airforce, and is the biggest military display in the world. Mildenhall is also known for the unique hoard of 4th Century Roman silver tableware which was found in 1942. 'The Mildenhall Treasure' is now displayed in the British Museum. I would say that this place is a nice village with lots of good, peaceful riverside walks to explore. You can also visit the town which holds a weekly market every Friday, and the home of the tallest steeple in Suffolk, St. Mary's Church.
